Was your test done with a control with a number of configurable options changed from the defaults (ours runs all defaults)? Is there a way to tune the control?

Is there anything further I could do on this? We still have the performance issue and I can't see how to install TRichView in the wrong way. It uses the ppRichView.pas and creates two additional controls one for DB one not. Do you have a compiled RB application I could try here to connect to our data?
