Well, this is what I've found so far... for no javascript you use :

http://beta.biblegateway.com/usage/votd/votd2html.php?version=31&amp;jscript=0"

There are more instructions with the capability of creating a custom verse

of the day - version, language, etc... it's here :

Build custom Verse of the Day HTML code

http://beta.biblegateway.com/usage/votd/custom_votd.php

I also saw that it can be setup w\RSS feed, XML, etc... but like I said,

I'm trying\needing to keep this simple... :)

Below is copied\pasted from the link :

Build custom Verse of the Day HTML code

http://beta.biblegateway.com/usage/votd/custom_votd.php

This form will help you build the required code. All you need is to first

select the bible version from which to get the text of the Verse of the Day,

and then copy and paste the resulting HTML code in your web page.

Choose bible version:

Copy and Paste code

Below is the code you need to copy and paste to your own web page.

</script>

<!-- alternative for no javascript -->
